9/11 Day, created in 2002 with the support of the 9/11 community, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Our overall mission is to rekindle the extraordinary spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, and to inspire Americans and others to do good deeds that make the world a better place. This initiative exists as a permanent and positive tribute to those killed and injured in the 9/11 attacks, and as a result of other terrorist acts around the world, and in honor of the many brave individuals who have risen in service in response to these tragedies.

Let's never forget what we're capable of doing together.
